Kathy and I teamed up with Greg and Jen to at least get out on a small backpacking trip at the lightest time of the year. We went to Upper Velma Lake, in the Desolation Wilderness on the southwest side of Lake Tahoe. It was a good trip, apart from the insane amounts of mosquitos that populated the shore and the campsite area.
