In November 2003, Scott Seagroves and I got the opportunity to go to Maui to help Maui Community College teacher Mark Hoffman out with an inquiry-based learning experience for the students in his basic physics class. We also had some free time, and before we started I hooked up with my friend Karen who just happened to be in Honolulu.
