For Patrik this was the first time he'd seen the "middle part" of the country, basically everything east of Utah and west of the city of Cambridge was unknown country. We planned to spend some time seeing beautiful parts of the West, but by the time we got to the Grand Tetons the weather forecast predicted 1+ inches of snow so we saw fit to haul it eastward. The several days of torrential downpours that followed also pretty much shut down our camping plans. For the rest of the time, it was more or less dingy hotels for lodging.
